For more than 30 years, the Bortolato group has been active in the construction sector in Veneto, where it underwent its early professional development and for where it continues to have much affection. In 2010, when Cristian Bortolato began operating in East Africa, he was captivated by the enormous and unexplored potential of the African continent and enchanted by the lush landscape: “I realised that there was much to be done and that it was necessary to introduce our Made in Italy products”. Having identified a small company with good business potential, he supported it in its development, especially from a technical point of view. At the time it comprised four employees – today Kiwengwa Investment Group Ltd boasts 160 staff and provides consultancy to new companies, and residential and hotel projects, capitalising on its local knowledge and decades of experience in the tourism sector.

At this point, there was a need to import the quality and style of Italian materials, so in 2006 IMG srl, a high-value-added service company revolving around the main activity of export, was born. IMG’s mission is to develop multi-sectoral businesses ranging from sales to logistics to financial support, in Italy and the rest of the world, seizing the countless opportunities to develop business with Made in Italy products. We act as a general contractor for new residential and accommodation construction projects, but we also provide our resources for individual areas such as feasibility studies, topographic surveys, and design.

In conjunction with African resources, meanwhile, villas and prestige homes were built and the need emerged for a real-estate agency that could handle real estate in African countries. Contact was made with Enrico Sartini, its creator and current administrator, who set up ZanzibarHouses. The company’s areas of interest are many: residential and commercial rentals particularly in the Zanzibar area, holiday villa rentals, organised tours, luxury safaris in Tanzania, and property management for secure and verifiable income.

Last but not least, 01.24 s.r.l. was born, administered by Tomas Candolaro, an all-Italian company that invests in the real estate sector with professionalism and consistency. Specialising in the construction and direct sale of real estate, with high production capacity and first-choice materials, it brings the quality of Made in Italy products to the world. In the Veneto region, it has built class A+ homes, the ultimate in energy efficiency; and in Zanzibar prestigious homes enjoying unspoilt nature and unforgettable landscapes.
